Channeling: Gymstone + MYOH Cebu 2012

There are many ways of expressing one’s self.  People make the world a more colorful place to live in by bursting out in song, busting the latest dance moves, making music, putting pen to paper, painting and in so many other ways by just being themselves. It is our ability to express ourselves that define who we are as individuals. We laugh, we cry, we love. We wear what we feel.

Style speaks volumes about one’s individuality. Today, style is not synonymous to wearing the latest fashion trends or hottest labels per se as even top designers look to everyday street style for inspiration and channel this into haute couture. It is about expressing personality and one’s sense of self. Whether one opts for the classics, goes with what is current or mixes, matches and accessorizes to come up with a style all their own, one’s personal style is the walking epitome of self-expression seen everyday in every corner you turn around the globe.

This day's schedule included:
a press launch for a new mobile phone brand at 11:30AM
an online magazine photoshoot at 2PM
and gym at 6PM.

With only my LBB (Little Black Bag) at hand for the whole day, I mismatched my knit "sweatshorts" with a very classic, buttondown shirt to hit the 3 events, with a tanktop underneath to wear for the fast photoshoot with Pierre Sierra in Philip Rodriguez garments, lensed by Yuno B. That shoot will hopefully be released next month online!

Here's good news for Havaianaticos!!!

This August 2-5, celebrate that carefree personalized style and your individuality at this year’s Make Your Own Havaianas at the SM Northwing lobby. As the brand celebrates its 50th anniversary, this year’s much awaited event is geared to be the most special one yet as Havaianas takes you through a colorful and exciting tour back to where it all began with an exhibit depicting its journey.

Make Your Own Havaianas is such a vibrant form of expression and every year we look forward to seeing all the unique pairs Havaianaticos come up with to characterize who they are. In fact, every pair has a story to tell and Havaianas is grateful to have been and continue to be part of that story and journey as the brand celebrates its golden anniversary.” shares Leanne Florendo of A.L Amizade Marketing Inc. who along with Aimil Sarmiento are responsible for bringing the world’s favorite brand of flip flops to the shores of Central and Eastern Visayas.

HAVAIANAS celebrates 50 years with its "1962" pin

Express “you” and tell your own story by mixing and matching candy colored soles and straps and embellishing these with this year’s special pins that characterize the Havaianas heritage – from the happiness, 1962, Brasilipinas and soccer ball or opt for one that spells something about you with personality pins such as letters, aviators, crystals, crowns and more. It’s the ultimate act depicting freedom of choice and whichever style choices you make, what colors and combinations you choose, it will be a statement expressing who you are-- and who you are is unlike any other. Tag all your Havaianas tweets and Instagram photos with #myohcebu2012

Take part in the Havaianas story as the brand celebrates its 50th year of sharing summer happiness. In line with our 50th celebration, we want to share our happiness with Operation Smile. For each pair you purchase that is embellished with a Happiness pin, you donate Php 100 to Operation Smile, a charity organization for children that provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe . Mark your calendars for Make Your Own Havaianas 2012 at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu from August 2 – 5, 2012. For more information, visit
