I styled the prenuptial shoot of Oya M., whom I closely worked with when I started (2008) to work for Ayala Center Cebu on their exhibits and various fashion shows.
Miss Oya's smile beams so charmingly it lights up a conversation; owning a sweet kind of carefulness. She wanted a "whimsical" concept from the video prenup shoot to the stills,
to be mixed with "structure"-conscious pieces.
Her husband is the namesake of APY Cane, a local manufacturing company in Mandaue exporting exquisite and modern furniture, thus the reference.
I made that WHIMSY inspiration and made it modern by having clothes that are streamlined, with shape and just the sufficient embellishment and interest through print.
I didn't want to go all-out Betsey Johnson or Lady Gaga with this. (The carnival scene not included)
Congratulations Oya and Patrick!
